Black Salt for ritual has long been used in European folk & African Diaspora traditions and is also known as Witch’s Salt, Sal Negro, & Drive Away Salt. Not to be confused with black lava salt or kala namak salts used in fine cuisine. Ritual black salt is not for consumption! There are a few ways to craft Black Salt.
Our Recipe includes Sea Salt, Essential Oil, Charcoal, Cauldron Ash, Black Pepper, and a few other ingredients. And comes in a glass apothecary jar. ** Product is only made when we have enough 'Ash' ingredient to use **
Ways to use Black Salt:
* To ward off bad dreams & unwanted energies/entities. By adding some to a little bag under your bed or pillow. * Use to symbolise the waning moon, eclipses, & new moons... Crone or Triple Goddesses, War Gods, & Darker forest beings... And for Fire Energy. * For Spirit Callings & Ancestor works and Samhain rituals. * Sprinkle some across your doorway, and windows to keep out unwanted company, evil, to reflect the bad behaviour of others (slander, jealousy, etc.). * You could also sprinkle in an enemy’s yard, office, or at their front door so that they will want to leave or move. * Add to floor washes to cleanse your home & ritual area of negativity. * Add to Spell work for added potency.
Black Salt absorbs negative energy and can only be used once. If you have it laying about your home, or workplace, it would be wise to change the salt every couple of weeks, or when the energy around it starts feeling murky. Do dispose of the black salt responsibly and at a distance away from your home or workplace, using one of 4 elements (Earth, Air, Fire, Water).
